The Bowling Green volleyball team took a big step toward clearing up the District 14 standings with a 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 25-20) win at South Warren on Tuesday.
Bowling Green (16-4 overall, 4-2 District 14) picked the second win over the Spartans this season – avenging a loss to South Warren in non-district play during a tournament in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Saturday.
The Lady Purples now have control of the No. 2 seed in next month’s district tournament. Bowling Green could still earn a share of the district title with wins over Greenwood and Warren East, the only two teams to beat the Lady Purples in games that count in the district standings this season, in its final two district games.
